EARA have, as part of their agreed constitution, an objective to safeguard and promote the interests of residents in the Egglescliffe area on matters concerning housing development and the environment. To this end, EARA will comment upon any proposed planning applications they believe will impact on the community, either positively or negatively. EARA will not comment on every planning application that is applied for in Egglescliffe, Eaglescliffe or elsewhere, but will select those they feel may have a significant impact locally.
It may be that where EARA feel it is important for members of the community to comment on a planning application, they will contact members on their email circulation list for support. This will happen in exceptional circumstances and only where EARA believe it is important that the community put forward their point of view.
