EARA

Egglescliffe Area Residents’ Association (EARA) was formed in July 2012, and is a constituted community organisation that is intent on improving the local area for residents, visitors and workers. If you would like to view the updated and agreed 2021 constitution, you can do so by following the attached link (EARA constitution).

The objectives of EARA are to safeguard and promote the interests of residents in the Egglescliffe and Eaglescliffe area on matters concerning housing development and the environment. The group will also identify other issues that could have an impact, either positive or negative, on the area, with a view to developing a SMART action plan, if need be, to address these.

The aims of the group are:

  • to actively encourage the residents of the Egglescliffe and Eaglescliffe area to support all activities organised and promoted by the group;
  • to identify and address issues of local concern by working with Members and Officers of Stockton Borough Council, Egglescliffe and Eaglescliffe Parish Council (EEPC) the police, the Health Authority and any other agencies or organisations, statutory or otherwise; and
  • to endeavour to ensure the Egglescliffe and Eaglescliffe area is a safe and secure place for residents to live and for their friends and family to visit.
The management committee, who are elected by the community at their annual general meeting, meet every month in the Pot and Glass public house, Eaglescliffe.
